30 Years of Transforming Workplaces

When I founded the firm in 1995, my goal was simple: to help organizations create healthy, thriving workplaces where people and organizations succeed together.

30 years later, that goal feels even more relevant. We are living in a time marked by division, complexity, and rapid change. Yet, the workplace remains one of the few spaces where people from different backgrounds come together to collaborate, solve problems, and grow.

One of the most powerful lessons I’ve learned is that psychological safety is a competitive advantage. When people feel safe to speak up, challenge ideas, and be themselves, innovation accelerates. Productivity increases. Absenteeism drops. And engagement deepens.

I’ve seen firsthand how transformational a workplace can be. But transformation doesn’t always come through sweeping gestures. Sometimes it starts with a single moment of courage. One act of empathy. A decision to lead differently.

And here’s the truth: workplace culture is something everyone owns. Not HR. Not management. Everyone.

In a world that often feels fractured, the workplace still holds promise as a force for good. Because I’ve seen what’s possible when organizations commit to cultures rooted in respect, inclusion, and psychological safety.

And that gives me hope. Because better workplaces make for a better world.
