The Inclusive Workplace Series – Module 6: Truth and Reconciliation Practices in the Workplace
March 20 @ 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm
FreeAn inclusive workplace in the lands that now make up Canada must recognize that its success, and very existence, were made possible by the dispossession of those who inhabited these lands before us. Promoting reconciliation with Indigenous peoples can be a daily practice that helps foster inclusion.
This module will support you to incorporate reconciliation practices into your workplace through honest and effective land acknowledgements and other tools.
We will cover the importance of recognizing and acknowledging the ongoing process of colonization to lay the foundation for an inclusive future built on trust and respect.
The session will be facilitated by Lauren Bernardi and Kris Noakes who works as a community advocate. Hannah Tarr will also join in on the conversations around Land Acknowledgements. Tanille Turner will be moderating the session.
